Welcome to the STAR Awards!
STAR Awards, the education awards for the investment management industry, honors excellence in education, marketing and education. The program is ever-evolving to reflect current, integrated education and marketing efforts. With over 25 categories covering communications targeting investors, advisors and plan participants, firms have the ability to enter in multiple areas for recognition.
For over two decades the STAR awards have honored extraordinary marketing, communications innovation and education efforts. Presented by the MFEA (Mutual Fund Education Alliance), the program was originally designed to recognize fund firms for their shareholder communications efforts but has evolved over the years. Among its most prestigious awards are the Overall STAR recipients in each of three key channels – retail, advisor and retirement. Also, the Community Investment award honors the company whose local efforts in support of important philanthropic initiatives best represents the spirit of the industry to grow a better future. Additional Distinguished awards include the Diversity & Inclusion award, Education Campaign award and the Education Award.
Today, the STAR program spans efforts digital and print, individual efforts and collaborative company-wide campaigns. The awards are given in a celebration presentation in Chicago that honors individuals, teams and companies.
The STAR Awards accepts entries from investment management firms, agencies and other third party companies that produce education/marketing materials for investors, advisors and plan participants.
Through the 2018 STAR Awards, firms have the opportunity to earn recognition in various categories. The program is the only competition of its kind, judged by industry professionals, and recognized by the media as an important barometer of excellence. Participants will receive an evaluation scorecard for every entry, providing valuable information teams can use to assess their communications efforts.
The STAR Awards’ Celebration is a premiere event that offers the chance for winning firms to be recognized by their peers and allows industry professionals to network while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvre.
The Celebration takes place in Chicago during the fall season.
